My last post covered how impossible makes you shine in ways that ‘simple‘ just can’t
But monster goals put you under a lot of pressure, and when things aren’t moving your way they can turn YOU into the monster instead.
It’s under this pressure of monster goals that you do things, and say things, and hurt people that you otherwise never would.
An even bigger problem – even though it doesn’t reflect who you really are, once you are inside a problem it’s hard to look at it from the outside. In fact, it’s hard to look at anything else at all!
So what’s the solution?
- Surround yourself with people who can see things from the outside.
- Let them know that they can speak out and even push back if needed to get you to see what’s really going on.
- And make sure you respond to those shocks because once you are stuck inside the problem and immune to the wake up call by people around you then you are unredeemable.
So what’s the thought of her saying the flipside of the coin that I was so excited about this morning?
Walk far enough and you’ll know – not all kids are happy and green
Not all are sad and barren either
