After compromising all my work and wasting three straight days addictively watching YouTube movie recaps I had an aha moment.
The time wasn’t actually wasted.
When I recapped the whole incident in my head and pressed on “what did I learn from this experience“
Turns out quite a lot (covered in detail in another blog post) – along with the realization that became this article!
In essence, I’m adding to Ryan Holiday’s idea of the obstacle is the way
Once you have flexed the creativity muscle enough times you realize creativity itself is myth!
That obstacles are overrated.
Once you get into the habit, once you start to just fetch wood, carry water you start reaching the flow state at will. Where the challenges blur out.

It’s like you are sitting at the potter’s wheel fully attuned to the touch of creation. And whether it’s mud, sand, or hey whatever comes becomes part of the pot.
